I can do all things through him who strengthens me! ........ Philippians 4:13
I'm just a Mom. Trying to keep all the peices of the puzzle in place. Grateful. Blessed. Daughter. Sister. Cousin. Friend. Photographer. Florist. Silly. Quiet. Love the Beach. Love the Mountains. Simple. Complex. Forgiven.
So this is a story about a teenage girl who wants to get in better shape and condition to play high school soccer next year, and a middle age mom who wants to be in better shape for her wedding!
We are starting with an easy cram style workout once a day (hopefully) and changing our eating habits (if we can get the males in the house to follow our lead it would make things a lot easier!)
Mom is also doing other forms of cardio and Girl is getting her cardio from soccer practice and extra running.
Can these two even work out together? Girl is already in good shape from intense soccer training (but feels she is getting lazy and wants to be able to keep up with the other players). Mom has fallen off the workout wagon for far toooo long (but ready to jump back on!)
There's grace enough for this girl... Today I'm just glad there's grace enough for a girl who lets her heart get ahead of her head. Who hasn't cleaned the grout in her kitchen floor. Not once. Who still prefers the fringes to the center of attention. Who can feel entirely out of place even with people who love her. Who grinds her teeth because she worries. And worries because she grinds her teeth. Who doesn't pet her dog enough. Or cook dinner every night. Or accessorize her outfits (and her life) in quite the way she'd like. Who's having a bad today and feeling guilty for being ungrateful. Whose to-do list is never done, whose expectations for herself are never met. Yes, I'm glad there's grace enough for a girl like that... Like me. Like you. Like all of us. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9
