Orange you special :)

If the family were a fruit, it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable - each segment distinct.

~Letty Cottin Pogrebin

I was just thinking and praying for my family today and found this great quote about the orange. As I looked for a nice picture to put on with it I found all these funny pictures of oranges - who knew???

California is a fine place to live--if you happen to be an orange.

You know you're getting better when....

~When someone else's pain hurts you more than your own.
~When you can tell someone else - life really DOES go on.
~One day you wake up and you don't have to remind yourself to breathe.
~You want to find a way to leave your grief in the past.
~You find you are actually enjoying living.
~You can come home and be content in an empty house.
~Your memories make you smile instead of break into tears.

~You can take down pictures because you don’t need them to remember and they might actually be making you forget that it’s ok to move on!

I've been waiting to post this. It's time.

Who knew that making vintage pictures was so easy and fun :)

This is one of my all time favorite photos - Mandy in her Daddy's cowboy boots with her cowie and her favorite red felt hat (that we got signed by Chris Ledoux!).
Classic.

It's just weird...............

“Know what's weird? Day by day, nothing seems to change. But pretty soon, everything's different.” Bill Watterson

I'm feeling that today. I've been so busy lately - trying to just stay above the water and catch my breath. I love my life but sometimes "weird" is the only way to describe it! Who would have thought a couple of years ago that I'd be where I am today - life is different - I am different. Life is constantly changing for me. Some people's lives never seem to change - why is that?? Am I the lucky one? Change doesn't always feel comfortable for me either - I have to learn to "go with the flow". I'm liking my new changes - it's just a little scary - it's just a little weird.
